ReCreo aims to safeguard the memory of the past in rural areas, the soul and identity of abandoned places, not to expose them to the ravages of time and revive them in a new way.
Each single story can contribute to building a collective memory.
Why to collect the stories?
How many times in front of the silence of an empty cottage, the scrub that invades the olive groves, the terraces that collapse with each rain, we ask ourselves: who knows what it was like? How disused things looked like today, what were the lives that took place there?
We want to give back a voice to the forgotten places. Remember their history, which is also ours.
